I co-created, with a friend Vince Faires, an indoor skydiving adult league at iFLY Portland in 2017 called the Oregon Wind League (O.W.L.)
The logo I designed for the league was to help with any merchandise in the future as well as to make the event feel more official. I have since updated the logo as well at the request of the leagues current lead.
The recap edit below was made to highlight the first successful run of the league. I went for a goofy/friendly feel since the league itself was made up of a group of nice and super close skydivers who frequent the wind tunnel.
The first logo on the left is the original one I created while running the league. The logo on the right the update. I went for a stripped down outline feel of an owl and included a flying formation in the eye to tie it back to the league. The updated logo cleaned up the flyer formation and added a font that felt more league like.
