I was contacted through a referral by the co-owner of a new food truck opening up. They wanted a powerful Mexican warrior woman with a day of the dead hint to it. I began researching and engulfing myself in the spirit of the festival. Found out about the colors and types of flowers used in the celebration meant a lot. It became a very fun research project on top of an involved illustration.
Together we crafted something they were very proud of and I personally felt honored to help bring to life. The final piece came together after a week and half of constant feedback and iterations.
